I'm pretty sure that the link you posted refering to the weapons is probably incorrect and mostly just speculation, as BF3 is going to contain more faction specific weapons just as BF2 did. It WILL have M4s and M16s (As seen in the trailer if im not mistaken). As well as faction specific weapons they are also throwing in some non faction guns i.e. DAO-12(Striker Shotgun), Glock, and much more. In keeping up with the tradition of the older Battlefields Im assuming you will get all of the faction spec guns to start and unlock the other non faction spec guns as you rank up i.e. BF2 style. This last bit is speculation though.

Small update!

Squad are only limited to spawn on the squad leader and spawns.
I like this idea, it prevents people from bum rushing around the base to a minimal.

And now how the classes look.

Style of each class looks right, except for the support wearing short sleeves and them yellow gloves.

Assault looks like your average soldier while Support looks like the dude who like to mess and relax more in the field (misfit much?). Engineer looks like your typical portrayed special op guy (resembles Dusty from MoH). Now recon looks like a badass, yet you get a since of CoD MW2 from it, IDK that how I feel.

Others thoughts?

Another small update of possible things:

Regional Vehicle Damage: Basically where you shoot has an realistic affect. EX: Shoot RPG at tank treads and you could stop the tank or hit the 50. on it and disable it.
Knifing requires skill if you want the opponents tags.
No more static sniping. It will probably be like CoD and you have to hold your breath. I know MoH was a sign of changes.
Snipers can use bi-pods
Engineer get the flash light only (not sure if true).
The light does blind player at a certain range. Can cause attention from a distance.
THREE ATTACHMENT SLOTS PER WEAPON! (Needs to be research)
No damage modifiers, no more magnum ammo or things like it.

It would also be incredible if there were... oh, I dunno... let's say "Ultra Realism Mode" (copy of Project Reality from BF2), but you can't just say

"THERE'S GOING TO BE AN ULTRA REALISM MODE!!! (no source, but it would be incredible)"

A little clarification on the spawning system.

There is a squad leader in each four person squad.

Everyone spawns on the squad leader, but the squad leader can spawn on anyone in the squad.

Therefore if the squad leader goes down the rest of the squad needs to stay alive until he respawns or no one in the squad will be able to spawn.
