The scouting party travels through the pass. You can't immediately see anything. Currently, the plateau the sniper was on is to your left. You're going at a reasonable pace to avoid falling off the walkway or loosing the second warthog.

You've got one of the shield generator modules and the few other parts needed for assembly. It'll take a while longer to get it all set up and fixed. You'll also need to position it near a fusion coil for power. It's a rather advanced piece of machinery, so patience is required when working on it, otherwise it could be damaged.

Meanwhile, Sketch Turner continues riding in the passenger seat of his captors warthog. They're driving at a fairly fast pace, and seem to know where they're going. They're now in visual range of a nondescript area. (Nondescript so nobody else just knows).

Carter: Find a blanket or a tarp to cover the bodies with. Head outside of the crash, realize you haven't slept since before the ship went down, find a place to kick up your feet, and take a well needed rest.

With the bodies covered, you decide to get some rest. You see a tempting pile of sandbags and use it as a makeshift mattress. Luckily the weather's nice. You're now resting until you decide to wake up.

The warthog at the front of the scouting party turns onto the roadway heading out of the pass. The road is fairly long. If you were to head directly north, you'd reach the infested mining facility. There's an island to the northeast. There's also an intersection to the north, somewhere between the island and the mining facility. You aren't sure where the west and east roads leaving that intersection lead to.

Where do you want to go?

Back in the canyon, people mill about the area and rest. Meanwhile, Cleatus is patiently waiting on a nearby pathway leading into a small cave system. The two builder drones inside suddenly stop making noise and hover outside, landing on the ledge and deactivating to allow their solar cells to refuel. The building project is marked complete by the tracking beacon. Glancing inside, you notice that the interior of the cave is now flattened and covered with panels, resembling an ordinary, empty room.

Sketch Turner and his captors arrive at their destination. They drive into a parking area, and exit the warthog. He's escorted to the interior at gunpoint, eventually ending up in an empty room, apparently cleared to make a makeshift brig. After a short wait, one of the rebels who captured you walks in.

IC-???: "Alright. Now, I'm assuming you're one of the people from that crash, right? What's your name?"

Dillon: "Let's check out that island, if they do not know how to swim we will be ok. Also seems safe."

Sketch: I'm not telling you my name but i assume you're one of those stupid buttfaces that attacked our ship!

Sergeant Carter Shields sleeps soundly on the same sandbags Dyama Koyovsky used as a makeshift bed earlier. The sandbags are arranged in such a way that they make an ideal place to nap.

Fortunately, there's an off ramp that leads onto the island up ahead. Since it's ahead of you anyway, you start heading that way. You can decide if you want to check out the island on the way.

Cleatus: Pulling out Topher Cleatus lifts up the PDA facing it towards the room, "Topher can you scan the room and setup make a blueprint of the most productive space that we could have. I need a space that I can have where I can create and explore technology with the optimal outcome. Don't forget to add in a computer for yourself so you can get out of this damn PDA."

Dyama: *to Dillon "Oh. Sure, that sounds fine." *looking at the beach* "Hey Dillon, did you see Sketch coming back on the way here?"

Diilon: "To be honest no i didn't, do you think something happened to him?"

Dyama: "Nah, he's probably just taking the scenic route." *Continue driving towards the island.*

Soren: He stops working on the shield modules and heads down to his corner in the storage bay, picks up his flask and heads back, taking a detour to the brig as well. He nods at Dmitri and anyone else who happen to be nearby, before heading back to work on his shielding...stuff.

Your warthog reaches the off ramp, and turns onto the island. The entire back half of the island is obscured by a large mountain in the center. From here you can see that on the right is a flat area, on the left is an impassible mountainous area that you would have to cross on foot, and in the center up a hill that you'd have to go up to cross the mountainous area is what looks to be a man made tunnel.

Where do you go now?

After a while, the door opens and one of the rebels you saw guarding the base enters the room. He, unlike the previous rebel, doesn't have a weapon.

IC-??? 2: "Well, I heard that Hollis couldn't get anything useful out of you, so I figured I'd try my hand at it."

He sucker punches you in the stomach, and then begins kicking you in your weakened state. After a brief beating, he stops to talk to you.

IC-??? 2: "What's your name and what were you doing on that ship? Were you security? Who are those guys anyway, mercenaries?"

Cleatus: "I think weapons and defense technology will be the best for now.."

Sketch: I aint saying shit!

Dyama: "Oh look, a tunnel." *Begin driving through the tunnel*
