Reality Changer (Choose Your Own Adventure)
Light floods your vision through a window pane—you open your eyes and bolt up, beginning the struggle out of bed toward what should probably be another boring summer morning. Feet hit the floor ankle-deep in dirty clothes. Your hand painfully clatters against the glass surface of the nightstand next to you, but suffices to swipe your iPhone off of it and into the pocket of your sweat pants. Already, you begin to dread the sunlight; you take your first steps into this brave new world, heading over to the window to close the curtains.
It's quiet outside, surprisingly so for a Saturday. The early morning sun shines through distant clouds, over your tranquil neighborhood, as quiet as the city beyond. The setting is uncharacteristically serene, but strangely mollifying, and despite your throbbing hand, the sunlight you dreaded moments ago vies to lull you back to sleep.
From all of this, you somehow conclude that it's going to be one hell of a long day.
Oh, right.
What's your name, again?

- Spoiler:
- And so begins the Reality Changer CYOA, a collaborative project between the minds of Eaglendia and Super Mega King. CYOA - Choose Your Own Adventure. The actions of the player character, and the events of the story, are completely dependent on you, the reader.
Simply post the action that you would like the player character to do and, in Choose Your Own Adventure style, they will be executed. There will be more than one action posted, as such we will select the action most voted if we cannot feasibly enact all actions. Keep actions reasonable and have fun. "Trolling" will be ignored.

Re: Reality Changer (Choose Your Own Adventure)
Hey guys look, I made the first terrible fanart for this cool project! Dat silhouetted anatomy.
The colors I used were mainly black, white, and transparent. The outline took me roughly 1 minute. It's an homage to previous works by artists such as me and some others. I wanted to portray the character as unknown, but also with an air of mystery. This character, as you know, has not been named or described yet, so I really sought to bring that across. Some critics might argue that it deconstructs identity, but I say it it a reconstruction of the self and the soul, in that this character is going to have one at some point maybe.

Right, that's it. Garrett Smith. How could you forget?
You swing your curtains shut and make your way over to your computer to play whatever online games or check whatever Internet forums you may, or converse with a friend on your favorite chat client, Ephemerallian. You turn it on; it goes through the regular startup noises and makes the sounds you're accustomed to, but there's something different on your desktop when you arrive there.
An unknown program, called "Reality Changer" takes center stage on your screen. The icon is animated; it is a rotating picture of the Earth, with a red dot that approximates your location in central North America. You think that's a bit strange, but dismiss it for now--some kind of malware, perhaps? Aside from the strange program, your desktop appears to be in order.
There's also some things lying around your room. You know the place pretty well, but for some reason you feel it might be relevant to have a look around whenever necessary.
What would you like to do?

Well at least it ain't John.
Check the closet for potential large items, then check computer desk, drawers and finally under bed.

Try to remember what the room looks like, what Garrett looks like, what age Garrett is, whether or not Garrett lives alone, and what Garrett's interests and skills are.

Delete the porn you left in your downloads folder, than investigate the new program.

You don't have time for this! Why would a respectable individual like you waste precious time gazing at nake--
...Maybe later.

Remember what your room looks like?
That's pretty stupid. You're standing right in it.
As far as what's actually inside, though...
There's a lamp on your nightstand, as well as a globe on a glass pedestal. It's supposed to rotate, but you haven't bothered to change the batteries in quite some time. You don't think that either of these objects will prove all that useful to you.
There's plenty of clean clothes in your closet, in addition to a few hangers and maybe some old stuff. On your computer desk, there's some pencils and paper; a flat head screwdriver is stored inside. You don't really feel like looking around, so you conclude that the largest object currently available to you is the computer tower itself. Though you're not entirely sure what's compelling you to go around in search of large objects.
You drop down to eye level with the layer of clothes that covers most of the floor in this part of the room. They extend a little ways under your bed; down there, there's an errant empty soda can, as well as some slats of thin metal that were probably meant to be used in the assembly of the bed itself.
As far as your qualities? You're a culturally ambiguous senior in high school, with a nondescript physical build. You get compliments from time to time but you've never really considered yourself all that strong, or attractive. You don't live alone, but your parents sort of come and go. They aren't around at the moment.
NickisanEnigma wrote:Check Ephemerallian for messages.
You head back over to the computer, but a quick look at the taskbar reveals no one wants to talk to you at the moment. Figures. You weren't in the mood for conversation anyway.

Reanimated Σ-Cube?
You are sick of that website! They used to play plenty of fun community games, but all the members do now is troll. Everyone is currently enthralled in some stupid forum game called "Adobe Photoshop Elements Pursuers", where a bunch of rainbow people are running away from some kind of snake that looks like a dick in a green sock.
You are so mad you can't even handle it.
Cry Vengeance wrote:Move "Reality Changer" to the recycle bin.
You drag the program to the recycle bin; the typical progress bar appears and disappears instantly, characteristic of deleting a small file.
You try to move the mouse elsewhere, but your screen locks up for a few seconds. When you regain control, it appears the shortcut has simply restored itself to your desktop.
How predictable.
Pwnisher James wrote:Delete the porn you left in your downloads folder, than investigate the new program.
There is no porn in your downloads folder. Obvious, much? Your hiding place is much better anyway.
That said, it seems the program is just begging to be run. You make a system restore point, then start up.
The program loads up instantly; the speed makes you think it was already open, as your computer has been a bit sluggish lately. The program is a window marked by a picture of Earth with a red dot. The enlarged picture confirms that the red dot you saw on the icon does, in fact, mark your exact location. The top of the window displays three tabs: [CHANGE REALITY], [MOBILE RC], and [LAWS].
What do you do?
