Ended up reading an article on Fox News about how video games are causing a rise in rapes (which are apparently going down). This was in the other news section:

Saw The Hobbit with my family today, the normal version, not 3D or 48 FPS or anything. I enjoyed it. Started out fairly slow, but the second two thirds were fast enough. I didn't start drinking my soda until the last thirty minutes or so, for fear that I'd have to miss a fair chunk while in the bathroom. It was much more lighthearted than the Lord of the Rings movies, which is a refreshing change of pace. There's no shortage of dark as shit movies these days. And it was nice to just watch an adventure movie, no world at stake, just an adventure (which is not to say there weren't plenty of tense moments). Heard a lot of complaints from reviewers that it was too slow or not enough happened. While that's fair enough near the start, PLENTY happens by the time the movie gets going. Don't agree on that point at all.

I'll probably watch it again. I've been seeing it advertised at the top of 1channel.

I love getting to use all my winter clothes. Unfortunately it's slightly ruined by my wearing a soggy uniform most days, but I love being able to ride my bike without feeling hot.
