I suppose you are correct with the elemental weapons. The devs said that guns would be an extreme rarity, and that ammunition is very limited. It's mainly going to be physical and throwing weapons, but hopefully at least a wide variety of them.

I'm not sure if I'm going to like the RPG set up or not. It's definitely different, and I'll get a better opinion as more trailers are released.

I just hope this isn't another FryCry type singleplayer because it's the first thing that came to mind. I couldn't even get close to finishing that campaign. It was terrible. (But the map editor with custom missions and campaigns would make this game an instant buy for me.)

I believe it is just 4 preset characters to pick from like L4d but I could be wrong.

I hope all 4 people in coop can get in a car and do some DBS on the zombies.

I would think they would allow 4 people in a car, since without it it would make no sense for coop, it would only make sense too. I don't know about shooting out of the car but its possible I suppose. I think it would be cool just to be in the car when your friends smashes through a huge group of zombies, or if Garquin is the driver, drive you right off a cliff.

the point is you just know that there is gonna be more than just one super powered machete.
something like incinerary bullets and enchanted baseball bats that turn zombies to ice. typical rpg stuff that should have been left out in a zombie outbreak simulator. its just supposed to be planet earth with all of our expected physics and just throw the walking dead into the mix, super zombie bosses are pushing it a bit but i think it will work perfectly.

but i will buy the game, unless my brothers or my main co-op guys dont decide on it.
but perhaps ill get it anyway since some of you are.

It's a regular videogame, the goal is to be fun. If it was a simulator you wouldn't even get any other weapons than a rock, and would die on the first zombie you encounter every time.

the game would be fun if it kept to its word, i thought, finally a game that is intended to simulate an outbreak if it were to really happen, since they used the word "realistic".

also your a fool for choosin a rock over... ANYTHING. duh you would die, and zombies are not hard to kill at all (depending on the variation, but this game has original slow zombies). so in case of an actual outbreak (knock on wood [either way]) just end yourself there to save the rest of us the trouble of dealing with one more zed. remember you aren't limited to just a rock to kill yourself, have an open mind.

And where exactly did the makers promise the game would be realistic, let alone define what sort of realism they mean?

If the game WAS realistic, you wouldn't choose a rock, you simply couldn't find anything else just lying around than sticks and stones. And you wouldn't ever be able to survive a single zombie attack. So yes, you are an idiot, for even thinking the game would have simulator level realism in the first place.

They didn't promise anything, but to be fair the first trailer they released was very serious in tone. And apparently the game is nothing like that.
