Vatful Game Topic (DEAD-New Game info inside)

"The tarnished fence of Junktown finally comes into view. It’s still a couple of miles away, but
it is a great relief to spot that piece of junk in the middle of the desert. A hot wind carries the
smell and sound of civilization to you. As you arrive, the guard raises his shotgun and squints
against the setting sun. He nods as he recognizes your caravan master, and you are allowed to
enter Junktown. Looks like you have completed your first brahmin ride.

Junktown is a rough frontier town. After the attack of the stray mutant bands some thirty years
ago, major Killian Darkwater had some trouble keeping the people together. He was retired
by an assassin from the Hub. No one’s really in charge of the place now. The sheriff – an old
man called Saul – is doing his best to keep the situation calm. Last thing you heard, the
townspeople are split in two fractions: one part following Sheila Darkwater, the other a Hub
merchant named Tyrone. Both are trying to gain control over Junktown.

You find yourself in the Sunset Caravan Company Barracks, where you may stay as long as you are employed in the company. For completing the brahmin ride, you have each earned 400 caps. The caravan master Pete is leaning against a wall. You have never been to Junktown; maybe you could ask Pete to give you a tour.

What do you do?

Lex: Head over to Pete and ask for a tour of the town.

Sean: He pulls a chair to the corner of the office, counting his caps. Eyeing the others in the Building with seemingly innocent curiosity.

Neil: Follows Lex for a tour

Walter: Follow Neil and Lex.

Pete: "I'd be happy to, if there was anything to take a tour of. This is Junktown son; aint nothin' but the shops and the Town Center. Be careful just walkin' around town though, some of these citizens aint as tolerant of muties as I am."

Known Locations Updated.

Sean: Go over to the Scumpit Saloon and buy a drink.

Lex: Look at Walter and say "Guess we are gonna make some friends real quick aye." Head to the Trader's Post.

Walter: Head to Doc's Drugstore.

Vlad: Fallow Lex, "Hey we didnt get to know eachother enough on the ride, my names Vladamire."

Neil: goes to the Gold casino and starts to gamble

Dante: Observe each person's newfound befrienders (Befriendees'?) and relationships, admire their stance, the way they talk, where they're going, what they're doing and what they have, don't appear to be bluntly observant, but appear to be more mysterious than openly friendly or informative.

After the "traffic" is more cleared and noone seems to be ready for approaching, (don't wait more than 5 minutes, time is of the essence.), head to the doc's drugstore and buy some rags and basic medicinal supplies (bandages, sterilizers etc.).

Harry: goes into docs drug store asking if they need any help or have any info on bandits in the area?

You find the owner, Barnes “Keep Cool” Dale, just about the nicest barkeep you have ever met. While getting your drink, he strikes up a conversation. "Haven't seen you in here before. You new around here friend?"

Smilin' Tyrone is working the counter. You remember (Perception) some stories about Tyrone; particularly how he was run out of the Hub after some "problems" with the local officials. He isn't smiling when you walk up to the counter. "What can I get you, ghoul."

You glance around the casino, noticing only one Poker table has a dealer. You enter the game and are greeted by the casino's owner, who only identifies himself as Ricky "The Knife". You aren't intimidated, however, and walk away with 200 more caps jingling in your pocket (Luck).

You notice Lex attempting to chat with Walter (Perception), but other than that you don't see anything worth noting. You then walk over to the drugstore. Doc, noticing your BoS dog tags, reveals himself to be a retired BoS Knight. "Anything for a Brother" he says, and offers you a 10% discount on all purchases.

Dante "Preparation, and only just, you don't know how many times it's saved me knowing what kind of man or woman a person is, and what they can be.

See this? *shows hole in cheek*, this is what happens when you aren't prepared, how do you know someone isn't watching us right now? Suspecting we're conspiring to do something irrational? How do you know our throats aren't going to be slit whilst we're sleeping tonight because of this very action and your decision to approach me? These people are extremely paranoid, especially with this civil dispute going on, so it'd be best to watch yourself.

Doc: "We've got a shortage of Stimpacks going around, so they're 200 caps each. Other than that, I have some Jet (25 caps/dose), Healing Powder (40 caps/dose), and a few doses of Buffout (150 caps/dose). Sorry, I don't have rad stuff; not much need for it out here."

Judging by the way Tyrone is looking at you (Perception), you determine that would be a stupid question to ask. Maybe asking other people about Tyrone would be the best course of action.

Barnes: "Well, ever since the Mayor died, there's been a power struggle of sorts between this big player from the Hub Tyrone, who owns the Trading post, and Sheila Darkwater, the mayor's daughter. Sheila also owns Sunset Caravans."
