I will also be testing out a new "system" I thought of a couple days ago to reduce the excessive crime. Don't worry, i'll explain in the lobby, and if it doesn't work, I won't use it.

well im pretty sure you werent in for a long time, and you were one of the people that helped fuck it up, i was a cop for much of the match, and i experienced LOTS of crime, im pretty sure at least a small portion of the trouble was you.

Extremely disappointed in last match. Not just because of the excessive rule breaking and crime, but because our Life rp VETERAN members were ruining the match as well. I don't know how many times I have to say it, but if you can't follow the rules, then don't come. We had a couple new members join the game, and the whole concept of the game was destroyed for them.

To all the new members: I apologize for the bad match.

To everyone who broke the rules: Very disappointed, and don't expect any invites in the next few matches (this is including a few regular veteran players).


Next match will be 2 weeks out, on TBOGT (haven't done it in awhile).

**ALSO: The new "2 life system" I explained this past game, that is staying, only i'm switching it to 1 Life this time. Too many people were abusing the privilege last time, so now (like in real life), you only have one shot: Don't screw it up.

Unless you all can prove otherwise that there is still good RP out there (like awhile ago), this system is staying, permanently.

You're one to talk Erik, you claimed you had a god damn Craigslist dealer and was just jacking cars off the street and claiming they all had broken brakes, steering, and throttle, AND were all from this 'dealer'. (Horrible roleplay there mister.) Yet you still said it was going on our record for goofing off during that time, the fuck is up with that?

i dont normally play as a cop, and my first time as one last match showed me how very difficult it can be for eaustinn, for a majority of the match, it went from three of us to just me and eaustinn, even with me stating several times that there were only 2 police officers, the crime just kept coming, and coming and coming.

That part wasn't going on your record...

When I started being "not a cop anymore", I announced the roleplay was over (you must've missed that). The last part I told everyone to roleplay "their best" solely as an impression on when I would host it next. The RP was over (as announced) when I quit being a cop. You also were not their for the majority of the match..

This is why the "1 life" rule is going into effect next time. Hopefully, people will think before they start going on crime sprees, or they're kicked when they die.

i know its life role play, but lets be honest, people get bored fast because when a story line forms, it generally only involves a portion of the lobby , which leaves all the others out, then they start getting bored and just do stupid shit to piss people off, in turn ruining the role play.

if you want absolutely no crime, why are you a cop every game and not sitting at a burgershot role playing your life, or doing something else creative? you kind of make it seem like (for new members mostly) that your ready for crime and that"s what it's based upon. set an example for what role play really is Erik. you make the police/crime seem like the biggest part of the game, because instead of cracking down on it, you let it go. then yell at the players for taking part in it? how does that make sense, if you don't want so much crime tell people that in the lobby instead of just rolling with it, or saying its "frowned upon", , then raging on everyone after. Life role play is a great game, and has a lot of potential when it's done right, so don't think I'm bashing you or the game mode... this is just my opinion .

you say possibilities are endless, kind of true, it depends on who's in the game, if its new members chances are the game won't get too creative, (don't quote me on this), for role play to work, people have to work together and help each other out. like, if a player decides to start a driving school, most likely people are going to just ignore it and drive anyway, which will cause the person who started the driving school to quit, and most likely turn to crime anyway.

now im kind of high and i havent been a sleep for almost two days now, but it seems like you get mad at people with out really telling them how to fix it and get better at role play, you just say, you can do crime its just not encouraged, that makes people think its ok to be a drug dealing mob boss who kills for money, but if thats something you dont want, tell that person that instead of letting him do it, then rage on him after the game and saying he can't get an invite back...

everything i've just talked about is true, ive experienced a lot of this. so don't say this isn't what happens because it's always what happens..

The reason I am a cop all of the time is because I enjoy being a cop (and not to brag but I think I do a very good job of it). Other people could be whatever they want as well.

When I say "crime is discouraged", I don't exactly mean it like that. As a cop in Liberty City (New York City basically), I want to do what a normal cop would do every day: pull people over, ensure traffic safety, respond to car accident reports, maybe even go down to a bar to break up a fight (fist fight, no guns).

What I don't want to do is respond to abnormal everyday crime. When I get a 911 call, I don't want to hear:

- there is a bank robbery
- Someone has gone crazy and is going on a shooting rampage
- There is a [insert vehicle here] driving like crazy swerving all over the streets (and doesn't not respond to my sirens).
- There is a bomb in [insert building or car here]
- "Help I have been kidnapped by the mob"
- "[insert mob name here] have kidnapped [insert person here] and demand a ransom of [insert money amount here]
- etc, etc...

This I do not like, and is definately not an EVERYDAY occurance.

I don't mind occasional crime, don't get me wrong, but the reason noone ever sees me say it, is because everyone reading this post right now will take this as a green light to start shooting people.

Everyday I go into a lobby and begin to host a Life RP, I hope for a good roleplay. I hope as a patrol officer I will pull people over who won't take off or run. I hope I will only see one or two 911 calls every 5-15 mins, or less. I hope people would have it in them to be creative by themselves, and think of things to do, rather than wait for someone else to start up something, and then join in. I hope all of this were true, but unfortunately, it is not (recently at least).

Life RP has seen its good matches, and bad. I enjoy being a cop for simple everyday routine duties, just like a fireman or lawyer would enjoy the same thing. The point of the officer is to keep order, and being the host, it would make sense that of all professions, I would choose that one.

Regardless, if this is truely the underlying reason (where I am a cop) why the roleplays are not going so well (i'll need confirmation from more Life RP members), then I will make the sacrifice to stop being a cop. This has actually happened before (about a month ago), so I can do it again. Granted I won't enjoy it as much, but if it means a good roleplay, then maybe it will be worth it.

My two most memorable life moments including easutinn is when he owned Mr Fuk's and I gave him money to get better help and the second is when he was drunk police chief. So my opinion is that life can be more fun when eaustinn is pissing around and not being that serious.

but seriously, erik if being a cop makes you happy then do it, you don't have to give that up.

i'm just saying that while you discourage crime, you also kind of in a way promote it. if that makes any sense.. it really depends on the people in the lobby though..

Thought about it, and i'm going to be playing with a combination of ideas for next weeks match:

A) - Everyone starts with 1 life (out of character deaths don't count). However, if I notice good roleplaying from a particular person over a long period of in-game time, i'll will add a life. In other words, everyone starts with 1 life (like in real life), but lives can be "earned" later throughout the game.

B) - I will be stepping down from the LCPD (as suggested above) for JUST THIS MATCH. I just want to see how things will go without cops, and if steve is right, it will go great. Since the LCPD will no longer exist, crime "punishment" will be dealt with by one of two things:

1. Minor Crime - Will be disregarded completely by me (this includes speeding or other reckless things). However, if I notice EVERYONE doing minor crime, I will step in with a warning, and later a kick from the game if it continues.

2. Major Crime - Before you would just go to prision, now your kicked from the game, instantly. If it is VERY creative with a storyline, I may allow it, but if you just going to randomly kidnap people, rob a bank, or go down a criminal path, your gone.


C) - I am going to switch the match back over to the original for one final change (next time after this will be on TBOGT, so don't worry). I am doing this so the weapons setting, you guessed it: Pistols only. Before when there is LCPD, the officers need shotguns and what not. Now, since there is no law enforcement (and technically all the other weapons are illegal anyways despite a permit), you'll only find pistols in Liberty City. Whenever I decide to suspend the LCPD from now on, weapons will be forced to pistols, considering there is no purpose for them anymore.

I would like to be there. Send me an invite if the game isn't full by then.
