I've been playing Resident Evil games since Re2 came out, so I don't like the way the series is headed either. But no matter how hard core fan you think it makes you just for bashing the new games, you can't deny that gameplay wise they're great. It's the story that sucks the most. I don't know if they were trying to get Resident Evil 4 in the hall of fame for movie clichés used in a videogame or something...
